Day 7, Road Trip. Since we were so close to Idaho, we decided to head there to spend a night. Coeur d’Alene was suggested by a friend, so we found a campground about 30 minutes away. It was a nice taste of civilization after being in the wilds for the past 3 days. We took this opportunity to hit up a laundromat and clean our clothes. Ben and Adam left to get some supplies while I stayed and waited for the laundry and worked on these blog posts.

Coeur d’Alene was a pretty standard city. Reminded me of Little Rock. Suburban vibes but with an urban layout. We found a well reviewed brewery, Daft Badger Brewing, to have dinner at. It was a charming place with some delicious beer. I had the blood orange IPA, and it was really delicious. So delicious that I bought a can to take home and share. I also really liked thier mascot/logo.
The next morning we searched for a diner-esque place to have breakfast. What came up was Elmer’s. We had to eat there. It was like a Denny’s but better. Definitely a more evolved IHOP. Would recommend eating there if you encounter one and are looking for diner food.
Not much to this day of the road trip, a bit of a break for our sore and aching bodies. We continue on to Yellowstone!
