Last year I bought a scratch off map and realized I’ve gone to 26 of our 50 united states. While hanging out after a dinner party, Jill and I were discussing the map and comparing what states we had been to. From there a plan was hatched to visit some of our missing states together. The […]Read more "An excursion to Arkansas & Oklahoma"
During our stay in Indiana, we decided that since Mammoth caves was only 2 hours away, it would be a fun side-trip to visit before BBQfest started. 8 of us piled into Lori and Zack’s Expedition, and the other 4 piled into Luke’s pickup for the 2 hour journey. Although nature tried to hinder us from exploring her cavernous wonders by making us drive through torrential rains (some might say monsoon), we made it to the national park in one piece.Read more "Mammoth Caves"
So the final day of my California adventure. We spent the last day of vacation at my cousins’ house in Irvine. I hadn’t seen my aunt and uncle in a while, so it was great to see them and hang out with them. It was super fun to fight over the dinner check when we went to Ding Tai Fung as well. We caused quite a scene, and my only regret is that I didn’t record it with my camera. Enjoy the last day of pictures! I am getting caught up pretty quickly on the posts that I have to write. Lobsterfest, Blue Point Tap Takeover, and Ravi’s graduation party are all that are left. Probably will put up other pictures that didn’t make it to the posts as a gallery too.Read more "Final Moments on my First Vacation"
I cannot believe how busy I’ve become. But one thing I’ve made sure to do is write this blog every Tuesday. I seem to have failed this week though. Since May 12th, I’ve had some kind of event every Saturday until Yesterday. First Cask Fest at Ashley’s in Westland; then Ann Arbor to take Will to the bars there and also hung out with my cousin Connie at various places in Ann Arbor; followed by Memorial Day weekend up north with Trevor and my family; then another vacation the following weekend to Carlsbad, California; and finally Ravi’s Graduation Party last Saturday that happened concurrently with the second Guild Wars 2 Beta. This Saturday I had nothing planned, although Lobsterfest was on Friday and we had some delicious food/beers. But this weekend I finally had a Saturday to just relax and not do anything. I did begin my writing for these posts though, and now I finish it on Father’s Day. Happy Father’s Day to all you fathers out there.Read more "Memories of the 2nd day of my California Vacation"
