Clean Bandit at St. Andrew’s Hall

Ever since Clean Bandit came out with Rather Be, I’ve enjoyed their music. I’m a sucker for violin in bands. Clean Bandit was performing at St. Andrew’s Hall – it was my second time at the venue. Pat and I used our voucher to see ’em when they came to Detroit. This post is going to be video heavy. I didn’t take too many pics.

Starley and Zara Larsson opened for Clean Bandit. I was excited because Zara Larsson was the vocals on Clean Bandit’s latest release, Symphony.  I love the use of orchestra in the song.

Starley, I learned about from her first single, “Call On Me”. She started out as a songwriter and decided to take a shot at performing. Her single I first encountered on the XM 53 station, BPM. I really liked it and I was happy to see she was one of the opener. One of the songs she sang was “Fast Car”, one of my favorites.

And of course she had to end with her big hit!

I heard Zara Larsson’s single “Lush Life” and really liked the tempo and how upbeat it was. I added it to my running mix for 2016. She opened with the song, which was surprising given that it was her big single.

Clean Bandit’s set was great. They played live instruments and it was just fantastic. I loved watching the violin, and she even had some like spotlight solo moments. I loved it.

Symphony is a great song and I was so happy to see that they brought Zara Larsson back out for it. I would’ve been really confused if they didn’t, since she was already there and all.

They also played Tears which is also one of my favorite songs of theirs.

They ended with their biggest single, of course, “Rather Be”. Great concert. I hope to see them at a music festival someday.
