A Disney World Adventure: Magic Kingdom

For our final main theme park, we went to Magic Kingdom. A fan favorite as a child, I found it a little lackluster in my adult years. There were lots of shows involving the Disney princesses as well as parades. The fireworks show was revamped, to my knowledge, and boy did it shine. Probably the best part of the day was that show. Despite a downpour of rain in the middle of the day, we had a great time

We walked around through most of the themed areas, but I didn’t have too many interesting pictures. Here’s some fun pictures of us on the Tomorrowland Speedway.

About mid-afternoon, there was a parade starting at Cinderella’s castle. The floats were quite colorful and fun. The Maleficent dragon spewing fire was probably one of the cooler things I saw.

At this point, Lori and Skyla had gone back to the cabin to rest, while Dante went to retrieve his lost Magic Band. I soldiered on with Sean and explored the rest of Magic Kingdom.

Lori and Skyla rejoined us before the fireworks show. Before we headed to get a good vantage point, we stopped by to say hi to Mickey and took a dip down Splash Mountain.

The fireworks show was amazing. They used projectors to “repaint” Cinderella’s castle. It was definitely my highlight of the theme park.

As much fun as I had here, I probably wouldn’t come back unless friends wanted to go. As an adult, I think Magic Kingdom is not quite as magical as it used to be. Epcot is still my jam.
