Board Game Weekend

This past Saturday marked the unofficial beginning of my once a month Board Game day. My coworker had told me about a board game night she had about a year ago, and since then I’ve toyed with the idea in my head. It wasn’t really until Pat and I started playing more and more board games that I revisited this idea for real.

Dante’s Birthday Dinner

This past week was Dante’s 26th birthday. To celebrate his existence on the big, blue marble for 26 years without kicking the bucket we went out to dinner. The birthday boy got to pick the culinary fare and eventually decided on Chinese. We headed to Hong Hua since he had never been.

Twisit – Twin Visit

So this title is just a failed portmanteau. But I thought I should at least try. In any case, I think I’m back on schedule almost. Got posts being written ahead of time, and I’ve decided that just cause 3 things happened over the weekend doesn’t mean I can’t make 3 posts and put them up no Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. But for now Monday is a definite post, and trying to add Friday as a regular thing too.

So anyways like I said, twin came to visit! She was in Michigan most of the week, but meandered over to our side of the state for the Ann Arbor Art Fair.

Housewarming party

So as some of you may know, I am now a homeowner. After moving in and getting stuff settled, the next most important thing had to be planned – the housewarming party!

The holiday weekend saw a lot of people returning to the mitten to visit/celebrate with friends and family. I took advantage of this fact and held my party the Saturday following the Fourth of July. I was able to catch a lot of people that were not busy due to the holiday weekend, and also those that just so happened to be in town to relax. I even got some of my longtime family friends and pre-college friends to show up! It was a great reunion and I was so happy to see everyone. I wish I had more time to talk to everyone, but guess that’ll have to wait until the next gathering I hold.
